Job Title: MEP Quantity Surveyor Engineer

Job description of a QS Engineer typically includes:-
· Analyzing Drawings: Review MEP drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand the full scope and technical requirements of the construction project.
· Material Quantification for Tendering and +/-: Accurately calculate quantities of materials such as concrete, steel, bricks, piping, and wiring based on drawings to support tendering, budgeting, and quantity adjustments.
· Material Quantification for Purchasing: Verify and confirm material quantities requested by the site team before issuing purchase orders, ensuring alignment with project drawings to prevent overordering or shortages.
· Software Utilization: Use software tools like AutoCAD, PlanSwift, and Bluebeam to enhance accuracy and efficiency in material take-offs.
· Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the Technical Office, Site Engineers, Procurement, Estimation, and Cost Control teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in quantity measurement.
· Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Maintain precise quantity take-offs and minimize waste or errors that could impact project costs.
· Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed records and prepare reports on material quantities at various project stages, including documenting extra quantities for client claims.
· Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and specifications during the take-off process.
· Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with new construction technologies, materials, and methods to improve accuracy and productivity.
· Problem Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies in drawings and specifications to produce reliable material take-offs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree “Electromechanical Engineer”
Experience 5- 7 years in the Quantity Surveying field.
