Never Satisfied until Jannah
SubhanAllah, the design of dunya is that one is never fully satisfied… always wanting change even within the simplest of things e.g. food.
A person at first will highly appreciate eating a delicious meal but if that same meal is served to them consecutively for a few days then that person will grow bored, desiring something else.
This feeling of always wanting change stems to almost every area of life. People are constantly changing/ upgrading their homes, cars, clothes, furniture, ornaments etc. One is constantly trying to better- striving to get that job promotion, better their social status, improve their health and fitness etc.
Even on switch off mode - holidays, one is wanting an alteration. A person will immediately be impressed by the new landscape (ocean view, mountains, lake, forget, desert etc) but give it a bit of time and the landscape will lose its specialness and eventually a person will yearn for home or another foreign terrain.
Alhamdulillah this feeling of never satisfied in dunya is a beautiful sentiment to have. It means one is always seeking changes/betterment and is never giving dunya a 5* perfect review in all domains.
Our Lord knows this about His creation and hence has given us the assurance that Jannah is the perfect abode, the perfect forever home,
‘Indeed, those who believe and do good will have the Gardens of Paradise as an accommodation, where they will be forever, never desiring anywhere else.’ (Surah al-Khaf: 107 -108)
SubhanAllah, this is phenomenal. Believers have assurance that they will be content for eternity, never desiring any change! One will have perfect contentment with each and every blessing of Jannah.
Never will one have health problems, people problems, work stress, worries of any type, never grow old, never grow bored, never want nor feel the need for any change!
One will be in a constant and consistent state of bliss, enjoying perfect contentment forever and ever! Every domain in Jannah will be a perfect classification, subhanAllah.
May Allah azza wa jal allow us to refresh and renew our commitment to live upon purpose and persist upon pleasing Him for eternity. May He gift us and our loved ones the abode of Jannah for eternity Allahuma ameen.
