🇫🇷 #France: Heavy clashes between students and riot police have erupted across France over the past week as a wave of school protests over overcrowded classrooms, teacher shortages and deteriorating conditions continues to escalate.
The unrest, which began in the Paris region last week, has now spread to cities including Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Dijon and Strasbourg, with students blockading schools, setting fires and throwing projectiles at police, who have responded with tear gas and other riot-control measures.
At least 440 people, mostly minors, have been arrested and 76 injured since the protests began, according to French authorities.
