Where the rewards come from Picture a market on a quiet weekend… — Polynodes — TG.ME

Where the rewards come from Picture a market on a quiet weekend. Empty stalls, a customer walks in, looks around, and leaves. Nobody wants to be first on an empty market. The platform has the same problem. If nobody has posted prices, there's nothing to trade against. So it runs a program for people who keep their stall open. How it looks: you post two orders. One says what price you'd buy a ticket at. The other says what price you'd sell at. They sit in the book and wait. Three things to be clear about. It's not payment for trading, and not payment for guessing right. It's for keeping orders in the book. The pool for each event is fixed in USDC. It's split between everyone standing there — the more people, the smaller each share. Your orders can get filled. Then you're holding a ticket, and its price can move against you. That part is on you. So this is not a deposit and not a fixed return. Next post: how much work it actually takes to keep a stall open properly.
