Why you can't pull this off on your own Before you even get to orders, there's a wall. Wallets, networks, fees, an interface in English. Half the people drop out right here, and fairly so. Say you got through it. Now the real part starts. The price moves dozens of times an hour and your orders have to follow. That means sitting there and watching. At night you sleep. During the day you're at work. In the evening you have things to do. That's more than half the day with your orders sitting wherever they landed. Your internet drops and you find out hours later. One side gets filled and it has to go back up right away. And here's the strange part: none of this rewards being clever. Following politics won't help. Guessing outcomes won't help. What it rewards is being there — every minute, without a break. A person can't do that. A program can. It doesn't sleep, doesn't go to work, and reacts in seconds instead of hours. What a program doesn't do is remove the risk. Your orders still get filled, prices still move against you. It only takes away the sitting there.
