It's really weird how almost none of the actual gifted kids were part of GATE in elementary school. AP Classes had basically zero overlap with GATE kids. Was it just a nice way for them to sequester away the autistic and adhd kids to try and goybeam them into submission?
Interesting that it seems to be a common reoccurrence where kids who were invited to join GATE, but didn't go, or whos parents didn't want them to ended up being in AP classes in HS though.
