GitHub really screwed us with this one.

Since June 30, they've heavily restricted access to public repository metadata (especially stargazer history) under the excuse of stopping scrapers. Now you can't properly compare star growth between similar projects unless you own them or use workarounds like sealed tokens.

This is a real blow to open source transparency and healthy competition. Tools like star-history.com were fantastic for seeing which projects are actually gaining momentum.

My project was affected as well.
