Yesufikad Fentie, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering) under the School of Postgraduate Studies at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU), has successfully defended his dissertation titled “Investigation of the Mechanical and Tribological Properties of AA6082/Al₂O₃ Nanocomposites for Brake Disc Application.”
He conducted his research under the supervision of Dr. Abraham Debebe (Ph.D.).
Yesufikad’s research focuses on investigating advanced aluminum-based nanocomposite materials for brake disc applications, with particular emphasis on their mechanical and tribological properties. The study contributes to the development of lightweight, durable, and high-performance materials for automotive applications.
