🇷🇺📈 Starting tomorrow, September 1, Russia launches what the market has long awaited: the ability to transfer securities from one broker to another in minutes, not weeks.
Olga Kim, head of VTB's depository, writes in a column for Vedomosti that this changes the rules of the game: previously, clients were locked in with a broker not because of service quality, but because of the sheer difficulty of leaving — weeks of waiting and the risk of losing value while securities were "in transit." Now brokers will have to compete on service, fees, and technology.
