Introducing Proofdrops

🚀 Proofdrops — a blockchain-based certificate verification system
I’ve been working on Proofdrops, built around a simple problem:

How do you prove a certificate is authentic without relying entirely on a PDF or manually contacting the issuing institution?

The idea is to give certificates a verifiable digital proof that can be checked independently.

🛠 The stack

Frontend: React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS

Storage: Browser LocalStorage

Blockchain: Smart contracts for recording and verifying certificate proofs

The flow is basically:

Certificate → Generate proof → Record proof → Verify

The certificate itself doesn't need to live on-chain. Instead, Proofdrops creates a cryptographic proof and uses the blockchain as the trust layer.

🎯 What could it solve?

* Fake or forged certificates
* Slow manual verification
* Institutions having to verify credentials individually
* Difficulty validating credentials across organizations
* Lost or damaged physical certificates

The bigger idea is simple:
Make credentials easier to verify without making trust depend entirely on a central authority. 🌐
