Before, whenever people asked me if I’d ever want to leave the country, I’d always be like, “Never. If you’re financially stable and doing okay, why would you go live in another country?”
And now… my God 😭 I’m actually thinking about how I could leave and take my whole family with me.
The crazy thing is, I still hate the idea of living somewhere where I might not be respected. There are so many reasons for that too ... being Black, being a girl, being Muslim, etc. But then I started thinking… are we even being respected here? Because honestly, I don’t know if there’s that much of a difference anymore.
I used to think staying was the obvious choice as long as you could build a stable life here. Now I’m realizing that maybe stability isn’t the only thing that matters. I don’t know 😭 Mn eyasebku endehone and I’m still trying to understand it.
Whatever, I don’t even think I’m explaining my point properly, but yeah
