Morning Joe host Joe Scarboroughfumed against Republican lawmakers for allowing President Donald Trump to “seize” taxpayer cash to run political ads, warning the move was “not only bad for America” but bad for the party.
The host unloaded days after the Trump administration began airing taxpayer-funded ads touting what it calls its biggest achievements. One spot, with UFC boss Dana White, featured Trump declaring, “America will never be a communist country.”
On Sunday, the administration also revived a darker 2024 campaign ad in which Trump vows to purge the “deep state” and end “forever wars,” declaring, “This is the final battle.” The ads end with the caption: “Paid for by the U.S. Government.”
