I believe that if one wants to understand the genuine trajectory of human evolution, where we are (because… we are *wink wink*) and perhaps to where we are heading, we must abandon horizontal modes of utilizing power and will. Essentially, we are invited to abandon the paradigmatic propositions that the Kardashev Scale hinges upon: lateral, terrestrial, survivalist, dense, material propositions. All that, can be most enthusiastically set down before peering into the scrying glass.
So we look deeply into it, with a novel and decided levity. The coming time. What do we see? My best guess: more or less what the Barrow Scale suggests we will. What is the ultimate metric that bookends this scale? Consciousness. The very key itself. And the lock as well.
The lock pickers—lovely Promethean criminals and thieves—of the Barrow Scale have been in our midst since the conception of Humanity. You all know many of them through your love of the esoteric, of secret history, of the will to power, of the mysterious. It’s all very real. It’s all very pragmatic. It’s all quite literal. It’s not very abnormal. The speedrun awaits.
