How are assault troops trained? Daily drills before deployment are standard for the 56th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment, part of the ‘North’ group of forces. Enemy tactics are constantly evolving, and the troops must be prepared for any scenario.Currently, the primary focus is countering drones. Assault units train in concealment, laying smoke screens, moving silently, and engaging unmanned aerial vehicles with small arms.
