Nitzavim-Vayeilech

Nitzavim נצבים (“Standing”)*
Deut29:10-30:20
🗞"Today you are standing, all of you, before ADONAI your God - your heads, your tribes, your leaders and your officers - all the men of Israel," (Deut29:10)
אַתֶּם נִצָּבִים הַיּוֹם כֻּלְּכֶם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
atem nitsavim hayom kulchem liphnei adonai elohekhem
* lit.: to stand, take one's stand, stand upright, be set (over), establish
The order of reading the weekly chapters is built so that the Sabbath of the chapter Nitzavim always falls before the Jewish New Year / Rosh Hashanah

In Isa61:10-11 the great hope of salvation
🗞 "I am so joyful in ADONAI! My soul rejoices in my God, for he has clothed me in salvation, dressed me with a robe of triumph, like a bridegroom wearing a festive turban, like a bride adorned with her jewels." Isa61:10
Vayeilech (“He Went”) וילך
Deut31 opens as Moses tells the Israelites that he will not lead them into the Land of Israel, and that Joshua will take over. He instructs the Israelites to gather and read Torah publicly every 7 years. At God’s command, Moses writes a poem bearing witness to God’s covenant with the Israelites.
Isa 55:6-56:8 - the last Haftarah of consolation
🗞 "Moshe went and spoke the following words to all Israel:" Deut31:1
וַיֵּלֶךְ מֹשֶׁה וַיְדַבֵּר אֶת־הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה אֶל־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל
vaelekh mosheh vaedaber et advarim haeleh el kol israel
Moses wrote down the Torah, handed it over to the priests and elders of Israel (Sanhedrin, see Matt5:22) for safekeeping, rewriting and distribution with the command to read it on the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot, this year begins on October 17) see Deut31:9-11
Moses spoke these last words on his Birthday, as the literal translation of Deut 31:2 is "I am 120 years old today ..." 120=1х2х3х4х5
