🏔️ Climbers’ Urine Is Melting Mount Everest Glacier

A study has found that Khumbu Glacier near Mount Everest Base Camp loses around 30 lakh kg of ice and snow each spring due partly to climbers’ urine.

An estimated 6,000 litres of urine is discharged daily, contributing to the melting of about 154 tonnes of glacier ice.
