The shift to cash has contributed to a prolonged liquidity deficit in the banking sector, raising concerns among banks. The Bank of Russia forecasts that by the end of the year, the structural liquidity deficit could reach between 2.4 and 3.6 trillion rubles, currently standing at 2.3 trillion rubles.
