🚨 Hidden SIM Card Found Inside a Ledger Wallet

Former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès says he found a concealed SIM card in a tampered Ledger hardware wallet.

“The implant was cleverly tucked into the space meant for the screen padding.”

Ledger confirmed that an unauthorized hardware implant was found in a device reportedly sold by its official reseller, CryptoBilis.

The suspected supply-chain attack has been linked to $92.9 million stolen from 311 wallets, but no confirmed connection between the implant and the losses has been established.

CryptoBilis reportedly suspended sales of all hardware wallets, including Ledger, Trezor, Tangem and SafePal.

The incident highlights concerns over hardware wallet security and the risk of devices being tampered with before they reach customers.
