As Gentile explains, the only true conviction, idea, or thought is one that is consummated in an *act*. This is to say, if you "believe" you must act them out. Your thoughts and words must matched with you action.
If you believe in courage, you must act in courageous ways.
If you believe in brotherhood, you must find and keep brothers.
If you believe in victory, conquer it!
