Uzbekistan at 35: Economy reaches $147 billion as population tops 38 million
Uzbekistan’s permanent population has increased from 20.6 million to 38.2 million since independence, while the country’s economy reached $147.1 billion in 2025, according to data released by the National Statistics Committee to mark the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.
