Jimma University held a special ceremony to welcome its newly appointed President, Dr. Dereje Engida, and bid farewell to former President Dr. Jemal Abafita.
The ceremony brought together university leadership, Senate members, executives, faculty, student representatives, the Jimma City Administration, Abbaa Gadaa, Haadha Siinqee, and religious leaders.
On behalf of JUSU and the students of Jimma University, we sincerely thank Dr. Jemal Abafita for his service, leadership, and contributions to our university. We wish him success and prosperity in his next journey.
