To the Editor A recent review of adult male hypogonadism thoroughly discussed several important treatment-related adverse effects and safety considerations of testosterone use, including erythrocytosis, venous thromboembolic events, blood pressure elevation, and prostate-related monitoring. However, one clinically important adverse effect of testosterone therapy was overlooked: suppression of spermatogenesis and the subsequent risk of infertility in reproductive-aged men.
