Niantic announced all details on the event for September, Operation Luna, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival!
The event will run from September 1st @ 1800 UTC to September 30th @ 1800 UTC.
During this event, the Ingress Scanner will feature the following temporary changes:
🔸 Portal Key drop guaranteed upon hacking if the Key is not already owned (does not apply to Drone Hacks)
🔸 Peace Beacon and a newly added Toast Beacon Kinetic Capsule program distance will be set/reduced to 1km if you start the program within the Event window
Additionally, four Campaigns will be available for all Agents, each themed around Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations.
Operation Luna 2026 - Free
Starts September 1st
8 Assignments, 3 bounties per Assignment (must complete all 3/3 to advance). Rewards the Operation Luna 2026 medal, 2,500 Apollo Tokens.
Moon Rabbit 2026 - 20,000 CMU
Starts September 1st
4 Assignments, 4 bounties per Assignment (complete at least 3 to advance). Moon Rabbit 2026 Medal awarded on completion.
Mooncake 2026 - 15,000 CMU
Starts September 7th
4 Assignments, 4 bounties per Assignment (complete at least 3 to advance). Mooncake 2026 Medal awarded on completion.
Lantern 2026 - 10,000 CMU
Starts September 14th
4 Assignments, 4 bounties per Assignment (complete at least 3 to advance). Lantern 2026 Medal awarded on completion.
Finally, two medals will be available for purchase, at the cost of 7,000 CMU each, including 3 faction beacons and 3 fireworks:

For C.O.R.E. members, a free 1-Day Bounty Pass will be available in the Store during the whole event window.
