A Russian cargo vessel was struck by several drones while sailing in the central Mediterranean. Interestingly, the incident occurred approximately in the same area where similar attacks were reported in recent months.
It is increasingly evident that the navigation of Russian vessels in the Mediterranean is no longer entirely safe unless they are escorted by military naval units. However, Moscow simply does not have the capability to provide escorts for all cargo vessels flying the Russian flag or otherwise linked to Russia.
