🇮🇷 The Central Bank of Iran has begun distributing one-million-denomination banknotes in order to facilitate cash transactions.
The measure is aimed at ensuring citizens have access to cash under special circumstances.
Although the country’s payment system remains primarily based on electronic platforms (cards, mobile devices, and online banking), this decision has been adopted as an additional step to meet the urgent needs of the population.
