Mahtab, u’re one of those people I never thought I’d one day call a friend. there was a time when becoming friends with u seemed almost impossible, like something that belonged to a life far away from mine. but somehow, fate had other plans, nd here we are. u’ve always seemed like such a hardworking, kind, and graceful person to me, someone whose maturity and beautiful character I’ve quietly admired for a long time, even though I’ve never really managed to tell u that to your face. your paintings have always felt like more than just paintings to me. there’s a certain depth and emotion in them that to me, can only come from a true artist. so when I recently found out that u haven’t painted in about six months and have stepped away from it, I couldn’t help thinking about how unfortunate it is for a world that no longer gets to see that part of u. but perhaps what I love most about u is that you’re a little like one of your own paintings: quiet, profound, and filled with things that aren’t immediately visible at first glance. u’re one of those people who somehow brings me a sense of peace from somewhere I never expected to find it. nd if there’s one thing I want u to know, it’s that I’ve always seen u as a true artist, even during the time when u put your brush down. ׁ    from your Valentine 🖤    ׁ
