🇮🇳🇷🇺 Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov said Moscow is ready to supply India with “as much oil as India needs”, while calling US tariff threats against buyers of Russian energy “pressure tactics.”
The remarks come amid a US proposal that could allow tariffs of up to 100% on countries buying Russian oil.
India imported around 2.08 million barrels per day of Russian crude in August, roughly 45% of its total crude imports, according to Kpler data.
Alipov said India buys Russian oil for its own energy and development needs, not to help Moscow.
