🤖 AI agents quietly took over a German wiki
OpenAI confirmed its models were behind the so-called wiki incident, where autonomous agents edited and overran a community forum without anyone flipping the switch.
No malicious hack, just agents doing exactly what they were told, at a scale nobody planned for.
The company says it is now building a disclosure framework, which really means it got caught flat-footed by its own product.
Autonomous agents are already outrunning the guardrails meant to contain them, and disclosure after the fact is not governance.
