What is the fluff?
These are the words that are often memorized by students, and can be used in every sentence. For example: Surprisingly, It is remarkably evident, According to graphical data, we can discern that, etc.
Why you should not use them in your writing?
1️⃣Memorized sentences are often so general that they have little meaning and little "voice" of the writer. They are just long sentences of "nothing".
2️⃣IELTS examiners can recognize fluff. When the students' real writing skills are shown in the rest of the answer, which pieces do you think examiners use to decide upon the score?
3️⃣By introducing a large amount of memorized material, the description is not written from a single mind, but from many people.
So, avoid the fluff, and get to the point. Good writings is full of meaning, conveying the message you want to say.
