🚨 UPDATE: Amazon Air flight overran runway 30 in Miami, then tore through vehicles and fences for about 1,300 FEET past the pavement
Struck navigational aids. Hit a 2012 white Ford Econoline van owned by Professional Ocean Service Corporation, a contract airline cleaning company. SEVEN people were inside that van.
HOLY CRAP.
Then through a perimeter fence. Hit a Toyota Corolla Cross. Kept going into the grass. Hit another fence line where Tesla Robo taxis were stationed.
NTSB chair: team of 32 on scene. Arrived starting 6 P.M. last night. Walking the path from runway to wreckage. Fuel everywhere. Victim recovery comes FIRST. Verified details hoped for tomorrow.
This wasn’t a near miss. It ran off the runway and into people on the ground.
