UPMC takes post-discharge AI to 18 hospitals
UPMC's AI-supported transitional-care service is now live at 10 hospitals. It plans to add one site on September 1 and seven on September 22, reaching 18 if the schedule holds.
ThinkAndor reviews records, discharge summaries, remote-monitoring data and patient outcomes to rank needs and prepare Psynergy Health clinicians. Those clinicians keep clinical judgment and conduct follow-up care.
The concrete consequence: more discharged patients can be contacted and routed without hospital staff manually assembling each chart and alert. Problems may surface before a hospital return.
The expansion comes from Andor's vendor announcement, and no independent or peer-reviewed evaluation of the 10-hospital rollout was found. The AI prepares information; it does not make the clinical calls.
