But I’m such a perfectionist, and this is my first manga, so I really want it to turn out as good as possible—especially since it’s based on a story from Iranian history and from the »Shahnameh», the epic Persian poem

I have to say that the story of "Rapunzel" is actually a copy of the story of "Zal and Rudabeh" from the Persian epic poem "Shahnameh"
