At the two intervention schools, conditions improved from 1-star ratings to 4.2 and 3.5 stars, with lower vehicle speeds, training for 500 students and a reported 58% reduction in self-reported crashes. The 2026 WHO Healthy Cities Recognition Awards will be presented at the 11th Global Conference of the Alliance for Healthy Cities in Sydney, Australia, 1–3 September 2026.
