U.S. crude oil imports from Venezuela rose over the past week to their highest level since September 2024. Weekly U.S. crude oil imports from Canada climbed to their highest level since March 2025 — according to U.S. Department of Energy (EIA) data.

At the same time, the U.S. remains the world's largest oil producer, pumping 13.5 million barrels per day in June.
