Here’s a super simple yet incredibly useful trick to set the perfect kick length in your track (helpful for many genres):
1. Divide 60,000 by your project’s BPM.
2. Then divide the result by 2.
The final number is your kick length in milliseconds.
For example, I’m working on a track at 140 BPM. 60,000 ÷ 140 ÷ 2 = 214.3 milliseconds.
Now, you can see the length of the sample in the sampler.
