i don’t think every verdict needs to be appealed, but every verdict should have the option to be.

instant justice is useful when everyone accepts the outcome.

once a decision is genuinely contested, speed matters less than having a fair way to challenge it.

the important part is making appeals costly or structured enough that people can’t use them just to delay settlement.
