A US court has ordered James “Archbox” Williams to pay Nintendo $4.5M in a Switch piracy case.
Nintendo accused Williams — a former moderator of r/SwitchPirates — of helping distribute huge numbers of unauthorized Switch games.
Williams didn't defend the lawsuit.
Nintendo asked for the maximum statutory damages on 30 games:
30 × $150,000 = $4,500,000.
The judge granted it.
Nintendo lawyers remain undefeated final bosses. 💀
