The biggest takeaway here is the vulnerability of UK systems to severe data-breaches. So the question is; why are the government continuing to build and push a National Digital ID system based on such vulnerable infrastructure. Additionally, the article from The Telegraph is also very misleading. The attack was widespread and not specific to the UK.
