Over 500+ non-gazetted posts are currently lying vacant in the Industries and Commerce Department, which also includes the Handicrafts and Handloom Department. Out of these, more than 100 are Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) positions. Additionally, the Excise Department has already forwarded a proposal to the Finance Department for over 200 Class-IV (Guard) vacant posts. Looking at these figures alone, you can gauge the significant number of posts currently lying vacant. If we want these vacant posts to be referred for recruitment and demand that the government fill them in a phased manner, we must act collectively. Every aspirant needs to reach out to their local MLAs and raise their voice through them to ensure this issue reaches the government.
