Common Mistake: “Discuss about” 🛑
Small grammatical slips can heavily impact your “Grammatical Range & Accuracy” score in IELTS.
❌ Band 5: We need to discuss about the environmental issues.
✅ Band 6-7: We need to discuss the environmental issues.
🚀 Band 8-9: It is mandatory to examine or address the environmental concerns.
📍 Pro Tip: The verb ‘Discuss’ is never followed by ‘about’. If you wish to use a preposition, use the noun form:
