🇺🇸 THEY REFUSE TO LET AMERICA’S FORGOTTEN BE BURIED ALONE: Detroit high school students are serving as pallbearers for homeless and unclaimed people, including veterans, when no family is there to honor them.

For more than a decade, young men at University of Detroit Jesuit High School have put on formal suits and white gloves to carry caskets and stand beside graves when no family or friends are present.

The school launched its St. Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearer Ministry in 2015. Seniors graduate and move on, but younger students continue stepping forward to carry on the mission.

Class after class has made the same commitment: No forgotten person should be buried without dignity, and no veteran should be laid to rest without someone there to honor that final sacrifice.

While too many activists are trying to turn classrooms into political battlegrounds, this school is teaching faith, duty, sacrifice and respect through ACTION.

Let's spread the word - good young men are out there, and this is what real service looks like.
