Few days ago Thierno Barry was the best £5.5m FWD in FPL!
Why?
• He is priced at £5.5m, still only about 1–3.5% owned, and has 10 FPL points from two starts
• GW1 vs Palace (H): started, 78 mins, headed the 2-0 goal from Ndiaye’s cross. 8 pts (goal + CS + 2 bonus). 2 shots, 0.45 xG.
• Carabao Cup vs Preston: started, hat-trick + assist.
• GW2 vs Bournemouth (A): started, 69–70 mins, blanked for 2 pts but created a huge chance pile: 3 shots (2 on target), 1.42 xG = “unlucky — 1.48 xG and no return.”
• Pre-season: 3 goals + 1 assist
• Last season he scored 8 goals from 8.1 xG (21.1% conversion, almost Haaland’s rate) but only started 21 games and took until his 15th PL appearance to score.
He looked like the cheap FWD we all wanted until Moyes signed Balogun from Monaco for £50m ! 💀
👉 If you have him , keep him! Balogun won't start right away ! and pray he remains a starter for those GW5 (IPS) & GW6 (HUL) fixtures!
