We are pleased to present a series of webinars from Singidunum University (Belgrade, Serbia).
Singidunum
A few words about the university. Singidunum is the largest private university in the region, offering a wide range of degree programs in English, including: Business Economics, Tourism and Hospitality, Information Technology, Software and Data Engineering, Applied Artificial Intelligence, and English Studies.
All programs are accredited and fully comply with European Union academic standards. Upon graduation, students receive a diploma in English that is recognized worldwide and allows them to easily apply for Master’s programs in any EU country.
Singidunum is an active participant in the ERASMUS+ exchange program. Our students regularly go on exchange to universities in other countries, which is an excellent opportunity to explore the world and broaden horizons without interrupting their studies.
Finally, one of the key advantages is the hybrid learning format. Every class is conducted both in person and online at the same time, allowing students to choose the format that suits them best.
Engaging Academic English
(In English)
How can you master the most essential type of English for students? This topic is relevant for anyone planning to study in English-taught programs. IELTS, TOEFL, reports, presentations, coursework, and, of course, the final thesis all require strong academic English skills. It is unlikely that this can be fully mastered in just one or even ten lessons. However, learning a few useful techniques is absolutely achievable, and that is exactly what we will focus on in this webinar.
Efficacy vs. Efficiency
(In English)
Effective, efficacious, efficient, English is particularly sensitive to subtle differences that distinguish real from apparent efficiency.
Learning how to properly manage your time and energy while constantly facing distractions is not an easy task. That is why top universities around the world integrate self-management skills into their curricula. Singidunum is no exception. For years, we have been helping our students effectively manage their studies and other aspects of life.
In this webinar, we will discuss basic techniques that will help ensure that the famous phrase “fatigue is the measure of work” does not apply to you.
Everyday English DIY
(In English)
Like any developed language, English is diverse and multifaceted. Most courses and textbooks focus on common topics such as tourist attractions, environmental issues, or small talk.
But when you actually start living in a foreign environment, you face real-life situations such as setting up the internet, dealing with a leaking pipe, or holding your place in a queue. Suddenly, your vocabulary may feel insufficient, and communication becomes difficult.
It is great to discuss global topics, but only after solving everyday problems.
How can you learn the language that you truly need to feel confident in daily situations? We will cover this in the webinar.
All examples are based on English, but the strategies for learning vocabulary will be useful regardless of the language spoken in your destination country.
Certificates will be awarded for attendance and participation in the webinars, issued by the university and its professors!
