In the sixth round of the Premier League, Tottenham travel to Manchester United. Both sides have made a dreadful start to the season. United have managed just one win and two draws, while Spurs are still waiting for their first victory.
For a while, Tottenham weren’t just struggling to win—they could barely find the net. Their finishing has been poor, and with the high press they play, it feels like conceding goals is only a matter of time. We could be in for an open, high-scoring game today. United are one of the league’s most creative sides; their main problems have been finishing and a growing injury list. Tottenham, meanwhile, have been giving up plenty of goals. Both teams have plenty to work on.
Today, we’re backing Manchester United to win. They’re at home, where they’ll have the crowd behind them, and they arguably have a little more quality in the squad and have looked better overall. Tottenham have really been struggling in recent matches. They somehow managed to score twice against Villa, but United have their own issues too.
Still, if Fernandes is fit, he’s the kind of player who can make the difference on his own. Tottenham don’t seem to have anyone like that at the moment. They’re lacking a clear leader, and the team’s confidence doesn’t look great either.
It’ll be interesting to see how both sides perform, but I think United will come out on top.
Manchester United will win
