Initial U.S. jobless claims rose to 206,000 last week, above the economists' forecast of 205,000, from a prior figure of 204,000. Continuing claims totaled 1.779 million, slightly below the expected 1.783 million, but up from the previously reported 1.771 million, initially listed as 1.778 million.
