Met. Mitrophan was wounded in a targeted drone assassination strike on his cathedral (Epiphany Cathedral) in Gorlovka near the front lines on August 23rd. Doctors worked tirelessly to save the Bishop’s leg & it appears he will make a full recovery. He explains the targeted attack by Ukrainian drones in detail to the Patriarch & how he jumped out of the way to avoid being killed.
