🇷🇴🇪🇺 Romania is set to lose about €770 million in EU recovery funding after failing to meet an August 31, 2026 deadline for a key public-sector wage reform.
The reform was part of Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR/RRF), under which EU money is conditional on completing agreed reforms and milestones.
