🇷🇸 Bosnian Serb military commander Ratko Mladić died at age 84 in The Hague, where he was serving a life sentence.
The general’s family, as well as the governments of Serbia, Republika Srpska, and Russia, have called for his release multiple times since 2020 so that the general could be hospitalized. All requests for compassionate release were denied by the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals.
