The postponement of export duties on diamonds in Russia for six months is attributed to the "low level" of the global diamond market and prices, according to Aisen Nikolayev, head of Yakutia, as reported by RIA Novosti. The Cabinet had previously deferred the implementation of the diamond export duty, which is now scheduled to take effect on March 1, 2027.
