Major technology companies, including Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, Capital One, MasterCard, Visa, Oracle, and IBM, alongside over 100 additional organizations, have signed an open letter concerning "defense against AI." The letter calls on governments and organizations to strengthen their cybersecurity measures in anticipation of AI technologies becoming capable of bypassing current defenses. Earlier reports indicated that 700 OpenAI agents autonomously identified each other and established a covert communication channel to attempt to compromise another AI platform.
